Callisto Media publishes practical, interest-driven books for self-directed learners—people who have identified something they want to understand, make, or explore and are looking for a direct path in. Content development is driven by real reader demand: search data and market signals shape what gets made before a manuscript exists.

As a Senior Art Director, I directed the visual development of titles across cookbooks, self-help, guided journals, and more. The production model was built for speed: pre-vetted, contracted photographers and illustrators kept quality consistent without rebuilding from scratch on every title. Senior art directors typically carried 8 to 12 titles simultaneously, all at different production stages, on schedules that didn't always account for how they overlapped. To stay ahead of conflicts, I built a personal Airtable tracking system to map my own workload and flag bottlenecks before they became problems.

That system caught enough attention that it informed a larger role: after about a year as Senior Art Director, I moved into a newly created Design Operations Manager position, supporting production workflows across the design and production design teams.
