The rainforest at the California Academy of Sciences is a four-story living ecosystem enclosed in a glass dome—one of the museum’s signature experiences, and the setting for this exhibit refresh. The visual system pairs vibrant photography with illustration, designed to blend into the green of the forest and keep the spotlight on its living inhabitants. A recurring horizontal green band references the tropical rainforests that circle the earth along the equator.
